GREENWICH - BOROUGH-WIDE PARKING SURVEYS - August 2021
The Royal Borough of Greenwich is undergoing rapid growth in population and regeneration which is set to continue for a number of years. That growth brings with it increasing car parking pressures on what is a finite amount of kerb space across the borough. The Council was seeking consultancy support from a suitably qualified and experienced consultant to carry out parking surveys to identify areas with high parking stress and using this information to make recommendations for the rollout of a borough wide Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) Programme.
That consultant is OnPoint Surveys Ltd. We will be conducting comprehensive parking surveys recording number plates in hourly intervals on selected days, as well as borough wide vehicle counts of all those parked on the public highway, and kerb length measurements to ascertain the supply of parking within various study areas. All to establish the level of existing on-street parking within the borough.
